Thursday, May 17th

It's 6:11 pm. We are supposed to meet in the parking lot in just a few minutes to get ready to go to Tony & Coco's for dinner. Miss Ruby is making her famous catfish.

What a delight Miss Ruby is. I am so glad that I got to meet her as she was so special to the group that went last time. When you look at her, you just see love. She has been so grateful for the help that she has received in helping her to clean up her house. She has a lot of things and they have needed to be sorted and put away. Her house is really getting nice inside.

Miss Paula's house has really come along. Ed has been working so hard and has been so grateful for Tyson's ability to cut the tile. They just have a little bit more to lay and then it will be done. The kitchen looks absolutely fantastic! Great job, Ray!!! Awesome job, Wes, on the electrical. Oleg and Norm joined them this afternoon because their roof was completed and I believe they spent their time in the bathroom putting up tile around the bathtub.

Sharon's house is coming along. I went to visit it today and that's a huge job! Loran, Joanne, Dina, and Jamaul have been so hard-working. They continue to apply mud and sand.

Bob, Tommy Ann, and I ended up at Miss Ola's house. We finished up sanding, so her house is ready for painting. She is anxious to get into it.

Ron and Darian were very busy getting supplies and dealing with the flat tire on one of the vans.

D'Iberville feels like a second home to us. There have been some really awesome things that have happened. Praise God!

We look forward to seeing you all soon!!!

Greetings MingMing and group,
Reading the blog and registering all the marvelous work being done to several homes warms my heart. What an accomplishment for the week!

I also had fried catfish while in Mississippi and found it delicious. However, mine was in a restaurant versus home cooked. I think it is hard to explain to those who have not come to the area the bright smiles and loving souls of these people who have gone through unbelievable loss. I look forward to reading about the works of today.

Blessings and love, Carol
